The abdominal surgeon of the highest proficiency. Head of Surgery Clinic of the Institute of Oncology, Vilnius University. Lectured at the Vilnius University, in the Gastroenterology, Nephrology and Surgery, Therapy and Oncology Clinics. Undergone training at the international congresses and medical centres of USA, Germany, Austria, Spain, Thailand, Sweden, Finland, France, England, and so on. Lecturer of many professional conferences (both in Lithuania and abroad). Author of over 200 scientific publications and lectures. In the past, held the position of Chief of Coloproctology Department of the Vilnius University Red Cross Hospital.

1999 – defended thesis for the Candidate of Medical Sciences degree
2006 – habilitation at the Vilnius University
