Ouality and environmental policy

We are continuously striving to improve health care service quality and patient servicing, to ensure comprehensive customer satisfaction with the received healthcare services and to increase the trust in the organisation itself, therefore, we have introduced an integrated quality and environment management system complying with international standards LST EN ISO 9001:2000 and EN ISO 14001:2004.

The personal health care services provided by Medical Diagnostic Centre are customer-oriented:

• the patients, their extended family, the medics referring the patients and other persons representing the patients have the status of Centre customers;
• Centre staff are attentive and responsive to customer opinions regarding the services provided by the medics and cafeteria as well as their quality;
• the Centre offers a variety of specialised health care services tailored to the needs of the customer as well as public catering services to its visitors and staff;
• the Centre staff use their expertise, experience and skills on behalf of their patients, and put all their efforts into understanding and sympathising with the customers;
• Centre professionals have sufficient scientific knowledge, skills and experience;
• Centre management ensures the provision of high quality services by employing experienced professionals and upgrading their qualifications, by making use of the cutting-edge medical equipment approved in Lithuania and by applying modern methods of diagnostics and treatment approved in Lithuania;
• Centre staff treat all their patients, customers and colleagues with respect and believe that each person, sick or healthy, is unique, therefore, each deserves individual treatment;
• the Centre conducts continuous quality review of its health care services and fulfils its duties towards the patients and other customers;
• the Centre is committed to the efficiency improvement of its quality and environment management system;
• the Centre is committed to compliance with the Laws, legal regulations and standard requirements effective in Lithuania as well as with its contractual duties; and
• the Centre undertakes pollution prevention and gives priority to operations and substances that reduce the detrimental effect on the environment and spare natural resources.

In an effort to achieve the above goals, Medical Diagnostic Centre has set the following quality and environmental objectives:

• to serve the patient immediately after his or her arrival;
• to conduct all consulting, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures at the agreed time and under the agreed conditions without causing any harm to the patient;
• to conduct laboratory tests accurately and reliably;
• to prevent potential customer dissatisfaction with the Centre’s services;
• to control the discharge of waste and pollutants into the environment; and to guaranty that the staff and the patients are safe from the ionising radiation.
