Vaccines against flue
Vaccines against flue are available at Medical Diagnostic and Treatment Centre.
Inoculation is highly recommended for persons, who:
- are 65 or older;
- have airway and lungs function disorder;
- have heart function disorder;
- have chronic insufficiency of kidney function;
- have diabetes;
- have acute illness caused by staphylococcus;
- have weakened resistance caused by various diseases.
It is also recommended to inoculate children who are 6 month and older.
It is advisable to perform a yearly inoculation just before the flue season, during October - November at best, but it is also possible to do that later on.
The inoculation reduces probability to catch flue and flue-related complications.
Doctor's examination before inoculation is required. The doctor assesses a patient's state of health and gives recommendations regarding vaccines.
