Over 100 different kinds of surgeries are performed in three modern operating rooms at Medical Diagnostic Centre. In addition, there is In-patient, One-day Surgery, Anesthesiology, Resuscitation, and Intensive Care divisions as well as single and double wards.

The developed cozy environment and appropriate microclimate is ensured by special ventilation, warming and conditioning systems. Patient safety, especially the one during surgeries, is ensured by automatic diesel electric power station, providing electric power in case of malfunction of supply in the city.

Medical Diagnostic Centre provides not only traditional open surgeries, but also such conserving human organism and minimally invasive ones as endoscopic, laparoscopic and arthroscopic (joints).

• Endoscopic operations are performed by employing surgical manipulation possibilities and entering optical device through natural cavities of organism (mouth, vagina, rectum). This is a painless way of outpatient treatment (it is not necessary to hospitalize the patient and therefore his/her working capability is not interrupted).
• Laparoscopic operations differ from endoscopic ones since they are performed through small orifices or cuts, where laparoscopic devices are entered to reach the necessary organ. One of the devices is with an installed video camera, so surgeons are able to observe the course of the operation in screen.
• Similarly to laparoscopic operations, arthroscopic ones, applied for joint treatment, are performed through two little orifices. The use of optical devices allows examining joints from the inside and performing the operation at the same time.

Advantages of laparoscopic and arthroscopic operations:

• Patient is able to leave on the same or the next day.
• Patient is not in great pain, since only very little wounds that are protected from infection at the maximum witness about the operation.
• Wound complications appear more rarely.
• During laparoscopic operations, gut adhesions are rarer.
• Surgeons avoid mistakes, since the view of operated area is enlarged in screen for several times, thus the view is much clearer.
• Rehabilitation is quicker, scars are very small or invisible.

All three ways of surgery (endoscopy, laparoscopy, and arthroscopy) are also widely applied in diagnostics, when symptoms of certain diseases are present and organs are examined with the help of optic device. Thus, the disease is diagnosed promptly and quickly.
