Was awarded Esteemed Lithuanian Doctor Award by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania in 2015.

Biography

1972 – Graduated from Vilnius University, acquired therapeutic physician’s degree and accomplished sub-residency of obstetrics-gynaecology, Lithuania.

1982 – Defended the Doctor of Medicine (MD) dissertation.

1972–1985 – Assistant at the Obstetrics-Gynaecology Department of Vilnius University.

1985–1990 – Assit. Prof. at the Obstetrics-Gynaecology Department of Vilnius University.

1977 – 1-month internship on perinatal, ultrasound diagnostics and gynaecological surgery at a few Slovenian universities.

1985 – 1-month internship on endoscopic gynaecological diagnostics at Greifswald University, Germany.

1987 – 1-month internship on gynaecological surgery at Erfurt Medical Academy, Germany.

1992 – 1-month internship on gynaecology at Zurich University, Switzerland.

1996 – 2-weeks internship on endoscopic surgery at European Center of Telesurgery, Strasbourg, France.

1990–1993 – Head of the Obstetrics-Gynaecology Department of Vilnius University.

1993–2004 – Vice-Director for Obstetrics-Gynaecology at Vilnius University Red Cross Hospital.

Since 1997 – Obstetrician-gynaecologist at Medical Diagnostic and Treatment Center.

Since 2004 – Director of Women’s Physiology and Pathology Center at Vilnius University Hospital Santariskes Clinics.

Since 2009 – Head of the Obstetrics- Gynaecology Department at Medical Diagnostic and Treatment Center.

The author of 64 academic articles and co-author of a monograph.
