Provides consultations regarding the treatment of various acute and chronic urinary tract and kidney, prostate diseases. Specializes in medical transplantation of kidneys and other internal organs.

The first Lithuanian doctor surgeon who, in 1983, carried out a kidney transplantation surgery and offered a unique kidney graft preparation technique. He was also the first physician in the country who made a liver transplantation in 2000. He has prepared numerous scientific works and publications and has made significant changes in the field of Lithuanian medical organ transplantation.

Biography

1965 - graduated from the Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine1970 - PhD of Medical Sciences at Vilnius University.

1982 - degree of Doctor of Medicine (Habil. Dr.) at the Second Moscow Medical Institute.

1987 - Professor’s degree at the Vilnius University.

Since 1996 – urologist at the Medical Diagnostic and Treatment Centre.

1990-2004 – Head of Nephro-Uurology Clinic of the Vilnius University’s Faculty of Medicine.

2004-2006 – Director of Nephrology (Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation) and Urology Centre at the Vilnius University Hospital Santariskiu Clinics.

Since 2006 – Consulting Professor at the Urology and Nephrology Centre of the Vilnius University Hospital Santariskiu Clinics.

1965-1968 – Assistant at the General Surgery Department of the Vilnius University’s Faculty of Medicine.
