Austėja Gliaudytė evaluates movement development and overall motor function in infants and children, identifies specific movement developmental disorders, performs physiotherapy procedures, and teaches parents how to recognize and correct improper posture and movement of their child. She also introduces parents to safe ways of carrying a baby and the baby’s movement during their first year. Ms Gliaudytė holds classes in the gym and shows clients exercises on the mat, with a ball, or foam roller. She offers classes for women who want to prepare for childbirth or who need to tone up after it, and for those who have urinary incontinence problems.
Ms Gliaudytė also offers individual physiotherapy sessions for those who have had surgery, illness and/or injuries. She is interested in the disorders of the musculoskeletal system, i.e. joint and other tissue damage. There can be different kinds of health problems—from minor pain to more serious disorders (lower limb (hip, leg, knee, foot), shoulder, neck, back or combined skeletal muscle pain). She helps patients to prepare before a planned surgery and then helps them in the postoperative stage, usually when they have knee, ankle, or shoulder joint problems.
Austėja Gliaudytė consults/teaches amateur athletes and those who want to take up a sport to help them do it correctly and injury-free. She teaches people how to feel and know their body. She also introduces clients to the ABC’s of exercises.
