Capillaries and blood vessels are thin, cobweb-like reddish or bluish structures. Most commonly formed in the areas of the nose, cheeks, décolleté, feet, ankles. Capillary and vascular removal is a simple and effective solution to get rid of an aesthetic image at the site of formation.

Capillary and vascular removal is recommended if available: various forms of pink (rosacea, couperose), redness of the face, neck, chest. Dilated capillaries (telangiectasia), single or multiple cobweb-like blood vessels. Vascular plexus of the face and legs, veins. Stellar and other various haemangiomas, cherry angiomas.

At our Centre, capillary and vascular removal can be performed using laser or sclerotherapy procedures. Be aware that the removal of vascular structures at one site does not preclude their formation at other sites. It is then recommended to repeat the procedure.

The procedure is short - 15-30 minutes.

No special preparation is required. You can go home immediately after the procedure.
Laser procedures are performed by dermatovenerologists, sclerotherapy - by vascular surgeons.

More about prices

  • Avoid direct sunlight and sunbathing for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.

  • If you are taking anticoagulants (blood thinners such as orfarin, aspirin), stop taking them 3 days before the procedure.

  • Postpone the procedure if you are pregnant.

Usually the procedure is performed without analgesia, but in individual cases local anaesthesia is possible.

The light impulse emitted by the laser causes slight tingling, which is a sign of effective treatment. This way the blood vessels and capillaries are removed without any side effects.

We perform laser procedures with, one of the world's most advanced laser “Dynamis” from FOTONA.

This next-generation laser is skin-friendly, works with great precision for safe and effective treatment.

Capillary and vascular removal Sclerotherapy is performed by injecting drugs into the vascular system and thus destroying them internally.

The duration of the procedure depends on the number and size of the structures removed, usually 15-30 minutes. Immediately after the treatment, the treated area is briefly frozen (15 minutes) with cold packs.

After the procedure, you may see redness, swelling and / or hotness of the skin that lasts for 1-2 days. If the capillary network is dense and the treatment area is large, slight swelling may occur for 3-4 days without interrupting the patient's daily activities.

The healing process usually takes 4-6 weeks. After the procedure, scabs and blisters may form on the site of the removed mass- allow them to fall naturally, do not touch as this is the natural course of the healing process. In very rare cases, visible scarring or cracks in the skin may develop.

Use the healing ointment prescribed by your doctor as recommended. When completely healed, there is usually no bruising or discolouration at the site of removal.

  • After the procedure, freeze the treated area as needed.
  • Avoid ultraviolet light until the skin is completely healed at the site of removal (about 4-6 weeks).
  • Use sunscreen (not less than SPF 50) for prolonged outdoor stay.
  • Avoid intense exercise, hot bathing, and sauna for at least 5 days after the treatment.
  • Avoid using cosmetics on the skin removal site for at least 1 week unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
  • Do not rub or scratch the area of the removed mass as this may cause local inflammation and pus secretion.
