Infectious diseases treatment

Infectious diseases spread through direct contact with persons who are ill or carry the infection, as well as through contact with contaminated objects or body fluids.

The most common diseases and illnesses: Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE), Lyme disease, AIDS, yellow fever, ,malaria, dysentery, rotavirus, herpes, salmonellosis, tetanus, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis etc.

Treatment. Our Centre provides diagnoses and consultations on ALL paediatric and adult infectious diseases, vaccination and infection disease prevention. We treat infectious diseases with medicine therapy and recommend physiotherapy procedures as a supplementary therapy. When hospitalisation is required, we refer our patients to specialised infectious disease treatment institutions.

As a preventative measure we offer vaccination against all of the most prevalent infectious diseases. When you come to our Centre, you can get your immunisation at the same appointment.

In most cases we establish the diagnosis and prescribe treatment in one day.*

*In some cases the tests to confirm the final diagnosis may take more than one day. If that is the case, your doctor or medical staff responsible for the test will inform you about it.

FAQ (frequently asked questions)

You should see an infectious diseases doctor if:
  • You are planning a trip to an exotic country
  • You would like advice on preventative immunisation
  • You are in contact with someone suffering from tuberculosis (TB)
  • You work in a high risk zone (detention institution, health care institution)
  • You have HIV
  • You have noticed a tick bite
  • You have noticed a round red area around the possible bite site.

Do not delay if you suspect you have contracted an infectious disease. The earlier treatment is started the shorter and easier it will be.

The doctor will listen to your complaints, order the necessary tests and assess their results. Once your diagnosis is established, the doctor will discuss possible treatment methods, medicines and procedures. If you need to be hospitalised, you will be referred to the medical institution where the required services are provided.

Do not delay. Take care of yourself
