Papillomas - skin growths of various colours hanging on a thin leg. Most commonly found on the neck, chest, under breasts, abdomen, armpits. It is a viral disease, a manifestation of the human papillomavirus (HPV).

Papillomas, which are not removed in time, spread very quickly and can cause serious undesirable aesthetic problems, hinder shaving, and impede the wearing of clothing. Laser removal of papillomas is the fastest and most effective solution when papillomas do not disappear spontaneously or you do not want to wait for them to disappear.

The experience of thephysicians at Centre shows that in 95% of cases, after removal of papillomas with laser there are no marks and scars, and in the remaining 5 % of cases only the minor scars may occur.

Papillomas removal is recommended if: they cause discomfort. They are constantly traumatized (by shaving, combing, rubbing or pressing clothes). If they are aesthetically unattractive.

Be aware that sometimes papillomas can grow back. It is then recommended to repeat the procedure.

The procedure is short - 15-30 minutes.

No special preparation is required. You can go home immediately after the procedure.

  • Avoid direct sunlight and sunbathing for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.

  • If you are taking anticoagulants (blood thinners such as orfarin, aspirin), stop taking them 3 days before the procedure.

  • Postpone the procedure if you are pregnant.

Before the procedure, the doctor will examine the papillomas with a dermatoscope and, if necessary, examine the colour and structure of the mass.

Papillomas are removed by laser without affecting other areas of the skin. They are removed at the microscopic level, so there is usually no need to examine the tissue for morphological diagnosis of the cancer after the procedure.

We perform laser procedures with, one of the world's most advanced laser “Dynamis” from FOTONA.

This next-generation laser is skin-friendly, works with great precision for safe and effective treatment and delivers instant results.

The duration of the procedure depends on the number and size of papillomas, and usually takes up to 20 minutes. After the procedure, the removed papillomas area is covered with a patch and the patient is instructed abut the care of the area of removed papillomas.

After laser removal of papillomas of the skin, the patient usually does not feel any discomfort. The healing process usually takes 5 to 7 days and, in more complex cases, 2 to 4 weeks. After the procedure, the ointment that promotes the healing process is usually applied to the area of the removed structure, and the patch is applied.

The healing process is similar to scar healing. Complications after laser papillomas removal are very rare. Depending on the size of the papillomas being removed, there may be a small indentation or bump in the area of the papillomas, which will eventually level off.

Be aware that sometimes the papillomas can grow back. It is then recommended to repeat the procedure.
