A skin prick test

A skin prick test (Prick test) is one of the most commonly performed tests to determine the cause of an allergy. Allergens such as pollen, mould, animal and house dust mites, etc., are applied on the inner surface of the forearm or on the dorsal skin. Then the area on which the allergen was applied is scarified with a special needle (painless!).

If a person has an allergy within 15-30 minutes the scarified skin becomes reddish, itching and blisters can develop.
15-20 allergens are applied during the standard skin prick test, however your allergologist and clinical immunologist can choose the individual set of allergens you need.
This is a reliable and informative test carried out by a physician allergologist and a clinical immunologist.
The result of the test shall be provided immediately.
