Echoscopic cardiac examinations: echocardioscopy, cardiac blood flow Doppler examination are used to examine cardiac valve status, cardiac muscle contraction force, to assess the size of cardiac cavity size, or changes in cardiac muscle.
Cardiac echoscopy at the Cardiology Centre is done using a new generation Vivid S6 echoscope adapted for the diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases. A powerful, good image quality echoscope allows the physician to see even the smallest structures of the heart, to make more accurate measurements of the heart walls and to evaluate their movement disorders. The sensitive echoscope sensor captures even tiny streams of blood flowing through the heart valves, allowing accurate assessment of heart defects and diagnosis of other heart valve diseases.
No special preparation is required for the examination.
Examination duration ~ 20 min.
